Oh my GOODNESS I forgot about this and I don't know how. This is the bomb! Nana made a pound cake for My Physicist for graduation and as my mom was leaving today she said don't let that go to waste you can freeze half of it and then she said "oh and don't forget you can toast it in the oven with a little butter in it." oh my gosh yes I can do that and matter of fact I immediately did. I forgot this used to be my favorite way to eat it when I was a kid.
So here is a picture sequence of what to do. Basically just butter a thin slice of pound cake, I use real stick butter. Then put it in the oven in the top rack you can put it on hi or lo broil but I'm so impatient to get it in my mouth I usually put it on high. Watch it till its golden brown. Take it out, let it sit two seconds to crisp up a little and then eat it and let your eyes roll back in your head in delight. I'm not sure why my pictures are out of order. Oh well you get the point.
Im a Scatter Brained Dingbat teaching my self day by day how to be better and more efficient. This is to help me keep all the scatter in my brain straight. So you should find pieces of my life plastered about haphazardly on this page. Probably a few ideas for my NanaBread book, which is really just an idea at this point and other random junk. ENJOY!

Just a complaint
My moms here and family and friends are coming in for Nicks graduation and all I want to do is stay and visit and laugh and drink coffee. I DON'T want to go to work today! Oh I wish I was young and irresponsible still and I just would loaf around and laugh and diddle the day away. I don't want to go to work.
Two Little Loves
There are two things this morning that reminded me I loved them. Walking through my garden this morning I found a ripe little tomato. With a warm cup of coffee in the morning this is a scenario to start the day off. I love coffee and fresh fruit.

My Moms a Pistol
Oh I love my momma! She's a real pistol of a woman. She doesn't get to come down to my house very often because she's a busy lady and she has her irons in quite a few fires, but when she come we have a good time. A little dinner and some wine and maybe a movie. It's nice to spend time alone, usually it's a circus of people parading around us. Did I mention she's a red head. Yep my moms a pistol.
My moms a pistol and her moms a saint, That would be Nana. She sent a cake with Mom for Nicks graduation and it is oh so perfectly delicious. Nana was so worried it wouldn't taste right that she made mom cut a sliver out and try it. A story followed to explain the paranoia. Nana says when her mom (MeMaw) was getting older she made a cake and forgot a few ingredients and to top it off it was a Red earth cake and she was out of red food coloring and used green instead. Nana indicated in her very nice polite way that it was a nasty pile of green mess. I assured her by eating two pieces that hers was just spectacular .

Organization is hard
It's hard for me to be organized, it's literally work for me but my boyfriend helps he's an organization freak and a physicist so very structured. Apps also have helped me so much. The first and best one is google calendar. Since me and nick both stay busy we link our calendars. It's helped my chaos so much. I always planned stuff over his stuff, but now I just look in it and bam I know what's up with him and me. I can only imagine how much this would help if I had kids and more schedules. We also put projects in there that we would like to get done together and then we hold each other accountable. Accountability partners are awesome. For example "clean shed" anyways I hope it helps someone else that's unorganized that's why I'm posting it. Nick graduates sat with a double major in math and physics! Yea Nick! and as I was updating my calendar to add a lunch after graduation I realized I should post about it because it's an awesome tool if anyone wants to know how to set it up I would be glad to help. Below is an example pink is me and grey is him.

Honey Bee Removal
Did i mention it was a good day to start EVERYTHING, I also did my first Bee job today, don't laugh. Im hoping to start working with honey bees soon. Starting with removing them and eventually having hives and honey. I met with a friend today and watched them work this job. It was very cool and I learned so much!
A good day to begin everything!
So I guess today's the day of just jumping in and getting stuff done. I opened up Publisher on my computer and started laying out a page for the book i want to write just to see how hard it would be. I think its more intimidating than hard but there are a lot of questions that I have bobbing around in this confused brain of mine. Like how do they get those nice pretty layouts in the cookbooks I have seen and do i need to keep all my layouts inside that little blue box of a line, around the page (in Publisher);AND if i ever do this thing and write this book, what then, how do you take something from Publisher and get it actually Published? Am I going about this all wrong, have i had too many cups of coffee? Probably yes to all, but if anyone out there in that big space of motion and words and bloggs (that don't understand yet) knows more than me, pass it this way.
The Scatterbrain Curse
Today I mentally went through all the possible lay outs for a cover of the book I want to write. NanaBread, its already complicated and overwhelming. To give you an example of how overwhelmed and off track I get: I have been wanting to start a blog for two years now. I finally did today out of sheer pissed-off-ness at myself and i'm still not sure if its what I want. It's the curse of the scatterbrain! So a book from someone who knows nothing will be crazy. Ok that's it my first post, NanaBread here i come!
